Wayne Spitzer is a writer, filmmaker, and artist from the Pacific Northwest. His work includes the SF/horror novel, Flashback (Books in Motion/Classic Ventures 1993), the movies Shadows in the Garden (IndieFlix 2007) and Monstersdotcom (Brimstone LLC 2003), and numerous low-budget television programs and ad spots. His literary and nonfiction writings have appeared or are forthcoming in Columbia: The Magazine of Northwest History, subTerrain, Micro-film: The Magazine of Personal Cinema in Action, and Generation X National Journal. Wayne is an MFA candidate at Eastern Washington University, where he is currently writing an autobiographical novel titled X-Ray Rider, about growing up in the 1970s.
Flashback (an SF-horror novel in the gory tradition of George A. Romero's Dawn of the Dead) was written in 1991. The audiobook is notable for its excesses--in the reading as well as the writing. The voice talent may be heard breaking character on more than one occasion...often suppressing laughter during the more inspired scenes of carnage.
