"Bader Field" Has a New Subtitle!

"Bader Field; How My Family Survived Suicide" is the new title.  We decided some time ago that adding the subtitle would give the prospective reader a startling glimpse into what lurked between the covers.

Review of First Love, Last Dance, by Nancy Rossman

Set in Atlanta and the Ohio farm region before, during and after World War II, First Love, Last Dance is the touching, heart-warming true story of Elise and Peter, a couple who first fell deeply in love in their late teens/early twenties but weren’t able to reunite until their late seventies. It’s refreshing to read…

Another independent, local bookstore has the book!

I managed to cross state lines and get another book into an indie bookstore! If you're in Mississippi go and check out Bay Books on Main street. The owner is very accomodating and she has two very cool cats that take up residence inside. Most importantly, you can get a copy of I Wandered from New Orleans right off the shelf! In real live bookstores in New Orleans, Mississippi and Atlanta! It's too bad that poetry is mostly disregarded by people as being too complicated and vague.…

An introduction to the Indigo Girls

Just listened to the Indigo Girls' new CD "Happy Holly Days" and I have to say it was pretty good. This is coming from someone of course who isn't a big fan of Christmas music. If the Indigo Girls put out a CD there is no way that I can pass it up. The girls have been a huge inspiration ever since I first heard them in Peni Lotoza's car after we got out of work at Terror on Church Street back in '93. 'Blood and Fire' was the first song I had ever heard and though many had…

My books are on New Orleans bookstore shelves!! My take on Parasol's

Had a great day today! I first sent off three books that are on their way to Charis Books and More in Little Five Points, Atlanta. Then we drove down to New Orleans to hit some of the indie bookstores to see if I could get I Wandered from New Orleans onto some real bookstore shelves. It was a great success! Some books were bought outright, some were placed on consignment. Brilliant day! So, for my NOLA peeps and pops who want to check it out firsthand and pick up a…

Picking apples doesn't pay...

First an update on my website; at another author's request I have added a page to my website that gives details on some of the photos in the book, some photos that did not make it into the book and explanations about the meaning of the front and back covers. Pictures and stories will be added over time as I gather them together, this is the link…

"Bader Field" ----The greater goal.........

My latest book, "Bader Field" was recently published by Nightengale Press and is a family saga that hits hard with tremendous emotional impact. Everyone who has read it has been moved.

I know this work, which took me nearly twenty five years to bring to fruition, will tug at the hearts and souls of its readers. It is my way of paying forward on many levels but especially in an attempt to reach and draw back from the brink of destruction those lost souls who are contemplating taking… Continue

"Bader Field" The larger vision

My story pays homage to a great man, my father, whose extraordinary qualities made him anything but ordinary. It took more than twenty years of attempts for me to wade through the love and pain of those days long gone, digging into the recesses of the past, to paint his portrait with the everlasting impressions so emblazoned in my being. He gave me so many gifts of life, I cannot even count. Those who knew him were blessed with the love, embracing kindness and innate wisdom he so freely… Continue
