Alexander (Lex) von Rudloff was born in Pretoria, South Africa on 18th August 1951. He was educated at Christian Brothers’ College and graduated in English Literature and Political Science at UNISA. He found his opposition to the apartheid system leading him into exile in Botswana in 1973 where he obtained citizenship in 1978.
