ELEMENTAL contains more than 60 color reproductions of art by Vann, statements of critical analysis by several guest writers, and more than fifty poems plus an extended biographical essay by Aberjhani. It is currently a recommended title of the G.R.I.T.S.com online reading group. The original launch for ELEMENTAL was held at the Telfair Museum Jepson Center for the Arts, in Savannah, in conjunction with an exhibit of the artist’s work. The exhibit itself continues to win the admiration of visitors from all over the world.

“We can’t guarantee how long copies of this first edition will last,” said author and poet Aberjhani, “so I can only suggest that people who know they really want a copy attend one of the earliest scheduled events, especially since we’ve been trying to do our part to give back by making it available at anywhere from 10-20 percent off.”

The author added that because both he and Vann are now involved in new and separate individual projects, it is likely that at times only one of them will be available for a specific event. In addition, Vann is currently reviewing possibilities for a tour of his work. Aberjhani, in addition to ELEMENTAL, The Power of Illuminated Love, recently published a memoir of life in Savannah titled The American Poet Who Went Home Again and maintains the popular website Creative Thinkers International.

In addition to the Jepson Center Gift Shop, ELEMENTAL is currently available at Barnes and Noble, The Ralph Mark Gilbert Civil Rights Museum, the Diaspora Marketplace, and Black Books Plus.
