The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

I've been in need of some inspiration lately. It's the dog days of summer after all. So, we got in the car and headed to the Grand Canyon last weekend. The Hualapai Indians have opened their new Skybridge and we wanted to check it out. The views of the west end of the Grand Canyon are terrific. On a side note: Grand Canyon West is expensive ($20 to park, $30 per person to enter, $30 per person to walk on the Skybridge). $80 for a lovely view seems extreme to me. And, the waits are long for the looping shuttles. Plus, you're not allowed to take your camera (or cell phone) out on to the bridge, so if you want a picture of the bridge view, which I have to tell you is rather cool, you have to purchase those from their tribe photographer. All of these negatives aside, it was still nice to spend the day in nature and I know that the experience will make a great scene in a book some day.

Have you felt scammed while looking for inspiration? I'd love for you to share your thoughts and comments at the Fabulist Flash Blog (http://www.fabulistflash.com/wordpress).

Keep Moving Forward!

~Gregory
