SOUL FOOD
A truthful witness gives honest testimony, but a false witness tells lies.
Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing.
Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment.
There is deceit in the hearts of those who plot evil, but joy for those who promote peace.
No harm befalls the righteous, but the wicked have their fill of trouble.
The LORD detests lying lips, but he delights in men who are truthful.
Proverbs 12:17-22

THE TONGUES WISH WAS WON

You know the tongue can be extremely dangerous. Given that the tongue is a small internal muscular organ some may not even consider it hazardous. Now that I have your attention, please recall that YOU ASKED and now YOU RECEIVED. You're not even certain of the request but you have it now. Warning! Warning ! Warning! Be careful of what you speak.

The summer has ended and school has started up again. Thrilled aren't we? That's what you had been asking for right? YES? NO? Let me help you out. Initially you were thrilled and excited. Vacation spot here and there and going everywhere. Hip hop hooray and playing, riding, and not caring 'bout a thang. Then, your time ended and stuff was everywhere and you didn't get to be there. It started. The complaining about those children. You wanted those children to do something. Can't those children find some activities to do. Those children need to do something other than just hang around. Those children, can't they pick up a book or two. Those children are wrecking my nerves. Every time you spoke it began with Those children, Those children, Those children........

You asked for it and now you have it. The house is empty. Those children are gone. Those children have something to do now. Each time passing a room you can remember "how your tongue wished and won".
It won't matter how often you tell others that "the schools stole the children". Your words have created an emptiness deep inside.

Do know that small things have a lot of power. As the tongue can be your worst enemy. The things that are spoken can manifest. You cleared things with a few words but after "round up", it looks like those children brought enough work home for you.
