introversion vs. shyness

I commented this -- but felt it should be repeated here--- (and I fixed my typos!)

Hello all -- people are funny. So many people have commented and emailed and think that this is a huge step for an introvert to engage in social networking. This is easy! I sit alone in my office and chat with strangers. Online social and business networking is the introvert's dream! That said there is a difference between being shy and being introverted and while I will always be introverted (my feelings internally when I deal with people face-to-face or over the phone...) I am rarely shy any more (the way I act outwardly). My introversion just means that I am exhausted by social interactions - not that I don't like, enjoy or partake in them... (just that I may need a long walk alone afterward!) Thank you all for your interest, and your well wishes. I look forward to getting to know more about each of you!
