A few days ago an individual I've known for many years had the opportunity to preview my book Operation Military Family: How to Fight to Preserve the Military Family; instead of keying into the family stories of how these families worked through various issues, she chose to take issue with how I promote the need for a strong military in order to preserve a strong nation...and that the only way we can continue to keep a strong military is by preserving military marriages and the military family. If the military becomes synonymous with divorce, this will provide an additional barrier to entry for those who consider joining the military in the first place. This is a very short segment in the book, but even so, she read this as absolute propaganda.

So let me be clear: the book promotes strength - in all areas, the military being one of those areas, AND most importantly strength in your marriage. It walks the reader through the HOW of establishing that strength in your marriage from the perspective of military couples who have done it- and continue to work on it.

I certainly welcome all viewpoints and comments when the book is released - as a matter of fact, perhaps I'll make my "pro military" viewpoint more prominent since today's society tends to crave controversial. I will tell you (as a hint), that I don't hold back, especially when it comes to the personal stories of what these couples go through...but I do it not to promote where they may lack, but rather to show how when a couple decides to make their marriage work, they will, regardless of the circumstances...and know, the military is paying attention to this marriage issue very closely. Enjoy.
