My Book, TOP GUN MANAGEMENT Snippet about Raymond Burr

One of the stories I share in the book is about my first Christmas outside the United States on the northern tip of Japan at Wakkanai. I was a young Air Force Airman and walked into the dinning hall on Christmas Day. The dinning hall was empty except for the Japanese cooks. I sat down alone feeling a little sorry for myself. Just then, my favorite TV star walked in and asked if he could join me. It was Raymond Burr and in 1962 he was about half way through his Perry Mason series. He was familiar with my hometown in the Arkansas Ozarks and had fished there. He was a big time star who was dating Natalie Wood. He could have spent Christmas anywhere in the world. What a great honor that he spent it with a homesick boy. What a generous man! Raymond Burr contributed his salary from the Perry Mason Movies to charity and once sponsored 27 foster children. He is one of many who made a difference in my life. When I commanded a three billion dollar multinational provisional wing, I tried to give back to others. We can all make a difference in the lives of others.

My book is sold out on eBay and is selling good at Lulu.com. It will be another month and a half before Top Gun Management is listed on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.

Hello from a native Arkansan. I had the privilege of doing book signings in 2006 at B&N in Little Rock and NLR. It was a launch for my book, Culture Smart Turkey. I grew up in NLR and Hot Springs. I have friends in Van Buren area . My uncle had a furniture store in Springdale-McPherson's. Enjoyed reading about Raymond Burr and the example he set-great!Your book seems to be doing well. Congratulations! I am learning a lot from this site and about Lulu.com
