Do you worry about things that are beyond your control? Do you stay awake nights wracking your brain how to solve seemingly impossible problems? Is someone else's stinky attitude wearing you down?

Believe it or not, Jesus has the answer to any problem that falls within these categories, and it's found in the Book of Matthew in chapter 6 with the ultimate answer to all His questions (and a promise you can claim for yourself as well!) in verse 33, where He tells us to put first things first: to seek God's kingdom and His righteousness and then all that we need (not necessarily want) will be given to us.

Is it a "poof" and suddenly things are okay and you have what you need? Sometimes. You see, it all depends on God's timing. Jesus says that He gives good gifts to us. Trust Him to know when, how and where these gifts will have the best impact in our lives so that we may have an impact on the lives of others.

How does this all fit into Serenity Prayer Living? Well, the serenity prayer asks God to give us the serenity (peace) to accept the things that we can't change, the courage to change those things we can, and the wisdom to know the difference. So, the key is, when things are humanly impossible for you to do and you need them, ask God to give them to you and go on with your life. That's the blessing and freedom of serenity prayer living!
