Great Speaking Engagement

Well last night I spoke to a really wonderful group of ladies (and one gentleman) from eight book clubs who were holding their annual "all clubs together" meeting. They had invited me to come join their meeting to speak about my road to publication. I was thrilled that almost all sixty of these folks had purchased my book and were prepared not only to listen intently to my tale, but ask really wonderful questions about my writing. I signed a lot of autographs and received and gave encouragement galore. So many people I run into WANT to write but think they can't. Well I think a lot of us would say "DAMN THE TORPEDOES" and just leap into it with both feet.....if I had spent my life waiting for the right moment to do things I might have led a more quiet life but probably BORING.....and I must say it's never been boring!

Anyway, I don't do a lot of speaking but talking to a bunch of people who love to read was a TON of fun. Hopefully I'll do more of that.
