Donna's Strangelife: Or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Hurricane

Honestly, no, I don't really love hurricanes. However, it's often better to laugh than to cry, and fortunately for us, Hurricane Humberto's bark was much worse than its bite. I guess it's always something (with a nod to Roseanne Roseannadanna) no matter where you live -- forest fires, mudslides, flash floods, blizzards, etc. Fortunately, I was able to stay on track because of my great online business manager, Janet Anderton, who kept everyone informed and updated while I was without power and phone service.

Thanks to Hurricane Humberto, I had to cancel my participation in the VA Visionaries teleseminar on the topic, How to Fill Your Virtual Assistant Practice (and Expand Your Profits) with Article Marketing. It's been rescheduled to Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 1 PM Eastern. To register and receive call-In information, send a blank e-mail to:

I'll also be a guest on the upcoming IVWCC Hire-a-Businesswoman Week this Thursday, Sept. 20. You can register for that event here.

Keep your fingers crossed that I'll be hurricane-free for the rest of this season..:)
