For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

need help

What i'm trying to do is to find new ways to promote my book. I'm looking for sponsors so i can purchase copies of my books and have them available for sale. It's hard for me to tell people that I don't a copy for them to buy right then and there. POD turns them off. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

i'm curious on that aspect also. i just found ut that my small publisher has my book available at B&N not only as a POD but also a prepay (?). trying to reach him o that one. now to a certain extent i can see sayin that it's available as POD on amazon but how are you suppose to do signings and such if you have it only avail as that outside of purchasing say how many out of pocket ahead of time. please let meknow if you come up with a solution for this.
