The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for a distributor. I do have the names of several, but it seems that most of the authors I speak to are not happy with the distributor they have. I have heard stories of books being sent back at the author's expense and not much of a profit being made.

Right now my book is only at amazon.com and on my website, but I have had people email me telling me that they looked for it in Barnes and Noble and couldn't find it, so I guess now would be a good time to get it into the bookstores.

Can anyone here recommend a good distributor? My other question is other than doing amazon best seller campaigns, what are some other ways to promote your book on amazon.com? Amazon has about 430 of my books and I want to sell them so I don't get any returns.

I write reviews(and use the new feature of adding a live link right to my book in the reivew), I have a listmania and profile. I am working on my amazon connect.

Any other ways to get your book noticed on amazon?

Thanks!

Christina

Hi friend,

I belive, bookmaster - http://bookmaster.com/ - is the best and great distributor in U.S.
I have spoke with them(Barbara). And she told me 'they deal with Ingram and baker & Taylor, they are the two largest distributor, and about 60 small independent distributors.'

Marketing is important for books also, and they also have great marketing packages, though the prices may be high.
I have their files, which they sent me. But, contact them and, I believe, they will provide you too.

They warmly welcome independent author, or selfpublishers as well as publishers.

If I could afford, I will work with them, I like them.
Who knows I will not work with them sooner or later, it's all in the will of God.

Proof it yourself by contacting and working with them.

Let all the grace, favour and blessing of God be upon you.

Take care.

Thanks, John. I do have your book and have been using many of the ways you suggest. I also have a "So you would like to...". how many of these and listmanias do you suggest making?

I notice that when I do a review of a book on the best seller list, it gets put on my page with my book saying "buy these together". I had "The Secret" with my book and recently have Suze Orman's new book. I reviewed both of those books.

The question is how to get on their page other than the paid placement? Is there a way to be on the "buy together" section without paying for it?

In the new edition of 1001 Ways to Market Your Books, I write about 15 to 20 ways to market your books via Amazon in addition to a bestseller campaign.

For distributors, see my list of book distributors at http://www.bookmarket.com/distributors.htm.
