What's Next for Readers & Writers?

Associated Content held an Ultimate Call for Content Contest where everyone who enters submits one 500-word article on a topic of their choice, that had a few other specifications, and then the winner is going to get a $5000 prize.

I thought long and hard on a topic, and I wanted one I just KNEW would be a winner, but you what really kept calling to me was an issue near and dear to my heart: the changing of the publishing industry - how PODs are affecting publishing in general - bad or good - self publishing versus traditional publishing and the like.

That's what brought me to write my entry:
