Being at Peace and being One with the World

“For God is a God not of disorder but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints (1 Corinthians 14:33 nrs).” While God is the peace and order in our lives, violence is the chaos and disorder.

We cannot develop non-violence if we continue to maintain an erroneous view on how to achieve peace. Peace cannot be achieved by subjugating our neighbors. We cannot attain peace by destruction. Peace cannot be achieved by acquiring more weapons or building stronger bombs or by creating bigger armies. That is not really peace. Scripture states, “And a harvest of righteousness is sown in peace for those who make peace (James 3:18 nrs).” we can’t talk peace with a gun in our hands.
