Book Discussion, sales and signing by Fay Risner October 27, 2014

Strange how things work out. The first Saturday in August, my husband and I went to town wide yard sales with his sister in State Center, Iowa. One sale we didn't want to miss was the library's garage full of books. We had a good time going through all the books. I may have my winter's supply of material although I have read three already.

My sister-in-law introduced me to the library director. The director had some of my books on her shelves. She recognized I was an author. She asked if I could come to a book discussion group in the fall. Out of all my books she picked the Amazing Gracie Mystery series book one Neighbor Watchers to purchase for each of her group members. Setting up to go to a book discussion group was the last thing I was thinking about that day, but I said yes.

I delivered those books yesterday. The date for the meeting is October 27 at 7 p.m.. I will be discussing how I came to write Neighbor Watchers. The meeting is open to the public and will be well advertised by the director. I will bring all seven books in the series to sell and sign.

I'm looking forward to the event and hope for a good crowd.
