By the 1st century BC, Han Dynasty spread its power to Central Asia. The Chinese learnt about Buddhism as a result of trade and cultural ties with the peoples of these regions.

Kumarajiva arrived from India to translate the Buddhist texts into Chinese.  Another well  known translator was Anshigao  from Central Asia during the middle of the 2nd century, and  he was also to become the  first Chinese Buddhist monk.

Xuan-zang studied at Nalanda International University. His translations marked a new period in Buddhist Literature.  By 9th century, Buddhism in China faced persecution by a Taoist emperor.  Monks and nuns were told to renounce, and metal Buddha images were melted. Because of this, many Chinese schools of Buddhism simply vanished.

During the late 19th century , Western cocky and cunning scholars tried to fit Buddhist ideas into Christian concepts and were trying to tell the Buddhists : “Ha, ha, what you talk about Buddhism were already verbally recorded in our Christian religion long before the arrival of Jesus Christ, and long before the Buddha was born”. These jealous scholars did not make it because after centuries of listening to these liars, people simply got fed up and the churches were deserted.

To live and to desire are one and the same thing. Unintentional deeds produce no reaction of morale significance. Disinterestedness, amity, and wisdom produce good results. Realty is beyond conception. What is it that changes? There is nothing that changes. It is the process itself that is manifested.

We experience what words cannot express, what ideas cannot contain, what speech cannot communicate. When you eat a mango, you say it is very nice. How do you tell a person who does not have a tongue and who had never eaten a mango about that “nice”?

The Buddha repudiated the belief that self is permanent existence. The Tapeikongs  (devas) and other earth-bound deities have each a certain territory to look after. The hungry ghosts hang around this planet until their bad kamma are exhausted. Some of these ghosts have psychic powers and can assist humans for a price.

Only humans can become Buddhas. The devas, when they attain arahanthood,  are the arahants, and not Buddhas.

In Buddhism,  the ladies are not classified as inferior.  When a lady came to tell Buddha she was going to leave because her time had come, the Buddha walked her until the gate of the monastery compound. Later on she passed away. Buddha sent four monks to carry her corpse to the funeral pyre.  She attained arahanthood.  Arahants  are free from pride and moral intoxicants.

If you are suffering, tell yourself that the pains will soon be gone. They are not permanent. You may be cheated, assaulted, framed etc., just do the best to tolerate these evil people. You might have done those things to them billions of years ago. They might be asking for what you owe them. With this attitude, the pains can be reduced and in future you don’t have to pay anymore. But if we attack them now, they will definitely look for us in future lives. This was confirmed by the Buddha.

Those who take the easier path of overindulgence and sensuality are living on anger, frustration, desires, and fantasies.  Their sanity becomes affected. They are prepared to kill and destroy whoever or whatever is on your way.  They have become insane. About 20% of world population are in need of psychiatric treatment.  The following  is a description of what people do after they have converted a family to the new faith.  They  took the picture of the Buddha to the ground, and desecrated it on a tree trunk. They ran around that tree boisterously, chucking and chortling or uttering the curses which were obviously targeting at Buddhism.  You need to prove to the public the picture they tread is a picture of the Buddha, and also that the curses from their dirty mouths are aiming at the Buddha. That means you need a good camera that can take clear pictures of what is below their feet and also recorder that can record voices from fifty meters away.  If you go closer you risk having bleeding nose and blue eyes, unless you out number them.
