As you may know, I have lost 100 pounds.  This is a great accomplishment, and I am thrilled to have done this.  In fact, I have written a book, If My Body Is A Temple, Why Am I Eating Doughnuts?, and it was released this week on Amazon Kindle and Barnes and Noble Nook. I hope you will make it part of your reading plan for this week.  It will make you wonder, ponder, and – most of all – laugh!

While I am thrilled to have learned much about food, what the scriptures say about proper care for The Temple Of God, and even adapted new attitudes towards exercise, my life is being thrown a few challenges.

One – my daughter is graduating as a Physician Assistant next weekend.  That will bring a graduation party which is going to tempt me in ways I don’t want to think about.  The few days before the graduation and three days after the graduation will be vacation time, so you know food will be an important part of each day.  After all, I’m a Southern girl, and much of my life centers around food!

Two – This same daughter is getting married in October.  If there is one time in my life I should NOT be overeating, it is the weeks leading up to the time I will be wearing the most expensive dress I have ever purchased in my life!

Three – I have made a huge change in my career, and that is bringing about some stress.  Stress is one of the excuses I use to eat.  UGH!

I really need to stop, take a deep breath, and remember God loves me so much.  He wants me to be successful in all areas of my life, and He isn’t going to leave me when I need Him most.

Ahh, now I feel better.  Thank you, God!  Come back next week and Listen To My Brain Rattle.
