As the President of the United States, Winslow Krane rushes to an underground gathering somewhere in the Russian countryside to a meeting with the shadow rulers of the globe, FBI special agent Russell Casey finds himself under arrest and being held against his will in an interrogation cell located deep in the bowels of a FEMA Containment facility.

Using the elite, state run media as a tool to turn the fears and the biases of the US Citizenry into a weapon to generate tangible support for himself, President Krane has been able to successfully overstep the checks and balances of the Constitution.  With his new found alliances, Krane continues to generate illegal power for his office and awaits the passing of the historic “Freedom Act.”  Once this “Act” is passed, the Constitution will pose no further threat to Krane’s secret objectives. 

As Russell Casey clings to the sensitive information that he has sworn to take to his grave, Allison Fiore uses a top secret dossier left behind by her partner to close in on his location.  After learning of this government plot, Allison realizes that Casey was right to distrust the government that they work for and learns quickly that if something is not done soon, the Republic will fall and a new regime will rise from the ashes to replace it.

G.A. Zanni currently resides in Johnston, RI with his wife, Caroline of 10 years, his children, Veronica (9) Gabriel (5) and Olivia (2). He served four years in the United States Marine Corps from 1996-2000 and drew on his experiences from many operations abroad to write The Deceitful Things series. Currently, he is working on multiple projects and has a deep passion for writing and enjoys sharing his inner most thoughts and stories with others.
