Daddy I'm Hungry

Every morning my children wake my wife and me up with the same set of words “Daddy I’m hungry.” God forbid if we are tired and try to ignore their voices because they will only grow louder and louder as if they have never eaten food before in their life. Please take into consideration my children eat about five or six times a day so they are far from starving but the act of getting their daily bread has become an essential part of their life. One morning I got the jump on them I woke up a half an hour before them prayed, read my Bible, and prepared breakfast and instantly the light bulb turned on. The same desire my kids have to be fed by their parents every morning should be the same desire that I should have to be fed by my heavenly Father everyday. Every morning I should wake up and talk to God and read my Bible and eat his word. Every morning I should be at the point of starvation and ready to eat as if I have never eaten before. Throughout the day I should continue to talk to my Father and eat from his table. I realize now that our kids were teaching us a valuable lesson and that is stay hungry.-Amen
