The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Hi Nancy Corradini!  It is GREAT to have you here on my blog this week.  I am sure my readers will be so inspired by you and your work.

Readers: Stay tuned for 3 days of getting to know Nancy Corradini.  Today is Day 1! Wednesday and Friday the two other episodes will follow.

Tell us a few things about youself.

I was born in Los Angeles in 1952 -- one of the few. Boy has it changed--but I still love visiting Los Angeles.

Animals have always been soulful friends to me. I feel connected to them. And, I have actually been kissed by a camel!

What’s your favorite book?

My favorite book is, “Island of the Blue Dolphins” by Scott O’Dell. When I read the book I wanted to be like Karana.

Who is your favorite author?

Probably, John Steinbeck is one of my favorite authors. His characters grip me.

What inspired you to want to write your book?

My book is about something that happened that I was a part of.  People enjoyed hearing it verbally so I adapted it to be a picture book.

Tell us a bit about your current writing projects.

I am thinking about writing a picture book about a blue jay that lived at my beach house patio for several years. He became like a family member and enjoyed all the visitors

What can readers expect to get from this book?

Readers can learn a bit about horse therapy and the soulfulness of horses. I hope they notice the way people picked up on the horse’s acceptance of all the people around her as equals whether they had autism or not. Acceptance and inclusion are natural ways to discourage bullying behaviors.

Any tips for aspiring writers?

Don’t dive into publishing until you really understand all the details necessary so mistakes aren’t made.

Any last words?

When reading to children, I like to select books that encourage questions and conversation. It is good to stop and discuss while reading or at the end of a story.
