The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

From an article I read this morning:

Thousands of digital books, called ebooks, are being published through Amazon's self-publishing system each month. Many are not written in the traditional sense.

Instead, they are built using something known as Private Label Rights, or PLR content, which is information that can be bought very cheaply online then reformatted into a digital book.

These ebooks are listed for sale -- often at 99 cents -- alongside more traditional books on Amazon's website, forcing readers to plow through many more titles to find what they want.

Read the article and then decide what you want to charge for your eBooks. After I do a little more research, I may increase my eBook costs higher than 99 cents to distance myself from the 99 cent books that may be viewed mostly as spammed books - at least till amazon gets a handle on this problem.

Yes, a mess. Shortly, I will be raising my price on the two eBooks I published myself. My publisher's eBooks have always been higher and they sell. I started with my two books set at $3.99 but dropped them to 99 cents. I just want people to read, but have had only a few sales. Now I know it's because there are too make 99 cent books that people must wade through.
