Going from writer to Marketer

I found this site a few months ago when I first started writing my long awaited book. I had no idea that writing my book would be the easy part. I've been writing a newsletter for a few years, so content was certainly not the issue; putting it all together in book form, now that was the challenge and the source of my procrastination; but I digress. In the past 3 months, in the midst of diligently writing my book... I discovered that I had to learn all about marketing and publicity even before my book was done. I knew all about supporting other authors' launches as I had participated in a number of them both through my newsletters and radio program. I guess I just hadn't thought that much about the HOW it all got done. So I have finally braved the world of Internet Marketing so that my book can also get the attention I hope, no, actually believe, it deserves (and will deserve once it's published...) I am open to recommendations, suggestions and support from you as I imagine everyone here has come to the same awareness from one angle or another... I am pleased to be part of The Book Marketing Network, and look forward to meeting you individually. Thank you for the opportunity to share my initial thoughts. Loren
