Historical Fiction Authors and Publishers Group

We have organized a new Historical Fiction Authors and Publishers Group and encourage anyone involved in this genre to join. When it comes to publicity, it seems that someone is looking for a message or needful information, which is a natural for non-fiction writers. Talk radio is always seeking an "expert".
However, historical fiction provides a portal for a reader to visit another time and place. This could be for pure entertainment value, but it might also provide interesting comparisons. For example: What would George Washington do if he was president today?
There is some historical fiction writer who knows the answer to that question, and I would argue that they could answer it with more color and grit than a pure historian.
