The Book Marketing Network

For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

There have been so many wonderful and fulfilling moments that have resulted from my decision to pursue writing. I have had the opportunity to combine two great passions—the study of forensic psychology and my love of writing. I am now committed to a creative outlet that offers a flexible schedule and is always available for me, where I am sitting on the beach at 2:00pm in the afternoon or in my home office in the middle of the night. And, I have enjoyed every chance that I have been offered to meet so many amazing people. One of my most cherished groups of new relationships comes from fellow writers. I have learned so much from you about the writing process, as well as how to get the word out about a book once it’s been published. The networking I have done with other authors has been fulfilling not only professionally, but also for my personal growth.

One of the interesting things I like to discover about other writers is what they like to do apart from creating with the written word. I have shared many times on this blog that I love photography. Capturing beautiful scenes in nature with my camera is truly a great form of therapy to me. If I ever get too caught up in the violence and psychological terror that is occurring in my latest writing effort, I know that I can escape for a while and view life through a different lens. Other writers have told me that they enjoy mountain biking, yoga, crossword puzzles, or classic movies as their breaks from the computer screen.

I know that other writers read this blog, and I thank you for that! So, I would love to hear from you now. How do you unwind when what you are writing takes you to a tense place? What re- energizes you after a long day? I hope to learn from you once again!
