OH my goodness, I have been gone for so long. I hope you haven't forgotten about little ole me. It is just that I have been so busy. I even managed to take a long needed vacation back in November. I went to Florida. It was so nice, but so cold. I couldn't believe it. I was there for almost 30 days.

Before I left on my little vacation, I was busy with my books. Yes, I have some new ones published and available on Amazon.com

I also have a new e-book: "Wohali and The Little People" which is published through Writers Exchanged and selling on Readers Eden.com

Of all my books, Wohali is my favorite. Don't ya just love the cover? I think it is so appealing.

While I was enjoying my little vacation, a bit of bad news came my way during the holiday season, on December 22, my dear and beloved young sister passed away. Needless to say Christmas had a hole in it this year, but I had a chance to spend New Years with my other siblings in Ohio; something I hadn't done since I married in "74". We usually don't get together until August for our annual family reunion.
Make sure you tell your family you love them, talk to them at least once a every two weeks or so if you live out of state. I didn't get a chance to tell my baby sister good-bye, or hug her one last time. I regret that.

Hey, enough of the woe and gloom. As you can see, I am still having my moments.

Are you looking forward to January 20th? I am so excited! I am counting down the days for this big celebration in my home town. Actually, I should say in my city of DC. Shhh, this is the only thing I like about city life. I may begin to like Washington DC now.

Am I going to be in all that hustle and bustle? No, silly me cannot stand crowds and it is going to be so crazy around here, not to mention the cold. I can't stand that either. So, I will be taking in the event and watching the ceremonies from the comfort of my home. I am going to put on my dancing shoes and enjoy the day just like everyone else. I will be partying at home and will be happy as a lark.

Oh guess what else, I have a new author's website. My very first professional one. They say every author should have one and now I do. http://winonarasheed.com

Jeepers creepers! I sure had a lot to say today didn't I? That's what happens when you been gone for awhile, you come back and then you tend to talk or type until you drop.

Anyway, Happy New Years everyone, I hope 2009 will be a blessing to us all.
