Adventure, courage, and determination surround loyal friends in the fantasy novel Littluns and the Book of Darkness.

Movie Producer and Director now Author, Mark Glamack, uses his background in animation and writing to create this family friendly and Christian based young adult novel. With a mission to positively motivate, educate, enlighten and inspire through entertaining content, Glamack uses his own spiritual guiding light to draw his readers into the struggle between good and evil in this debut novel.

The Littluns and the Book of Darkness will entertain audiences of all ages with its fast paced, intriguing storyline and elaborate illustrated life of the Littluns world in the Hollow Hills of the land, Terra Fermata.

Littluns, and the Book of Darkness.

Customer Rating See Detailed Ratings

I have never seen a fantasy that had you on the edge of your seat throughout the entire book. The characters are so different, and the story is one of so many twists and turns you're not sure where it is going. There is never a dull moment, you don't want it to end. The book may have been written for young adults, but I'm 59 reading it to grandchildren who are not old enough to read yet, but it holds my interest. It's not a book that you can just read as a bedtime story, because it takes several nights to complete, but you want to come back to it, and see what happens next. The color illustrations are so beautifully done that you take a lot of time looking at all the detail, and still you go back and find things you have missed. I would recommend this book to anyone, there is nothing offensive, but there sure is a lot of action. I believe that this is the only book I have read that it's almost like watching a movie... I am hoping the author writes a sequel to this, in fact it would make a great full length animated film. I like it better than Shrek, and I like Shrek too!

Hootsey Bootsey!! It's a good read!

I recommend you read this book with your children.... they will love it and so will you. There are many things to discuss with them as you read-- about the good and the not so good! It will not only open your mind again to the fantacies of when you were young, but will allow you to guide your children as they use their imaginations as well.

I recommend it for "children" of all ages, 7 to 70.

And then there are the awards won:

"The Dove Award"
" Indie Excellence FINALIST Book Awards
"Mom's Choice Awards' Gold, for “Young Adult Fiction”
"Mom's Choice awards" Gold, for “Fantasy, Myths, and Legends.”
Honorable Mention at the New York Book EXPO.

Don't let the animation-like content fool you. Although family friendly, "Littluns" is best understood by "Young Adult" and grown-up readers on an adventure and journey of a lifetime.
