You write - I draw. Another speaks and someone else has inventions and ideas. We limit ourselves too often by thinking that we can do everything ourselves. I'm probably the most guilty of all!
How cool is it during this Christmas season that authors, business people, speakers and those who want unique gift ideas can work together to help others less fortunate?
Think outside the box! What you have in your hand is what another needs and visa versa. You can bank on the fact that you have more resources at your disposal than you are using. Strategic alliances are always a win/win - when both parties support the other as much as they pursue their own interests and projects.
With digital products and the Internet, publishing expenses become more a matter of time than expense. Who do you know who has what you need? Call them! You never know what will happen.
The current project (http://shannonparish.com/helpafamily.htm) that I'm working has been one of the most fulfilling efforts I've ever participated in. There's something to be said for thinking outside the box!

So true! There's an old visual in my mind of a group of natives sitting around a pot of stew and all are starving to death. They each carry a loooooong spoon which is meant to feed ... another. If all were to feed each other, none would starve, but human nature thinks of self first.
Every time I think I have this one down - I see that I've only flipped the coin thinking that I'm the only answer and am feeding everyone else but not receiving from others. Hmm...

This is actually a beautiful picture. I love what you wrote. Too many times we as people just want to be lone rangers and do it all ourselves, only to miss out on the fruit and blessings that others can bring to us and that we can bring to them.
