Derrick Hayes is the CEO (Chief Encouragement Officer) of WOE Enterprises, a ground breaking company located in Columbus, GA. At Tennessee State University Derrick Hayes help start The Wall Of Excellence Scholarship and Development Fund that to date has raised over $500,000.00 to help deserving students stay in and finish school. Derrick Hayes sold over 4,000 copies of his first book Derricknyms From A to Z out of his car, at military bases and to celebrities such as Herschel Walker, Mike Epps, Butch Carter, Pastor Troy and Ecstasy of Whodini.

Derrick realized there was a need to reward others while they are still alive. The thought of giving back is what inspired Today’s Honoree.
