November 2010 Newsletter from Pamela Swyers

I had the great pleasure of enjoying Irving Berlin's White Christmas (the musical) at the breathtaking Fox Theater last week. It launched me into thinking about the holidays and trying to prepare myself for Christmas. I teared up at the end (as I do most times at the end of a book, movie, play or concert, being so easily moved by things of great talent and beauty) and my mind began to imagine what I could do to make my season festive and bright. My thoughts turned to the thought of family and friends and great, yummy comfort food. Ah-h the turkey and dressing. Then I pictured my home all decorated with twinkling lights, candles burning, soft holiday tunes in the background and I was there... lost in my mind. (I go there a lot.) I hope I find every occasion to be thankful for what I have in this world and I pray gratefulness and many rich blessings on you all as well.

Since cold weather has undoubtedly arrived, it is so grand and satisfying to sit by a fire with a great book. Cold weather, hot drink, raging fire and a good read; what more could you ask for? And speaking of FIRE, Playing with Fire is out and available. This is the third in the Adison Taylor-Hall series. Adi gets involved at a local charity and as usual, bites off more than she can chew. Her desire to do good lands her in the middle of a hot mess as she tries to fix everyone's troubles and maintain her sanity. Pick up your copy today.

For fantasy lovers, think about getting Dylan's Cause. It's one of those books that pretty much everyone will enjoy (both sexes, all ages). You've got your angels, your demons, your amazing characters and relationships, and to top it off, some raging angelic battle scenes for good measure. It's an entertaining ride for all as you follow the birth of little Dylan; a creature that is both angel and demon in nature. Will he follow in his father's footsteps and become a full-fledged demon? Or will he choose the righteous path of his beautiful angelic mother? All of the heavenly realm watches to see what he will become. He has a choice, he has free will, and he has the pressure of being one-of-a-kind.

I hope you all find moments to get (even a little) lost in your head this month. Just, um, maybe not while you're driving. I hope you all find some great books to read in the meantime.

God Bless and Happy November!
