Both volumes of Write it Right - Tips for Authors made Amazon's Top 100 again today.

I am so grateful to my readers - and to those among us who post reviews (on Smashwords too). They all help.

Hi Michael, thank you for responding. Volume I of Write It Right has been out for some time. I did a lot of social sites and promotion, plus wrote for the local newspaper. So that volume was off and on the Top 100.

Lots of people asked for more articles. Any time someone asks me a question about writing, I turn it into an informative article. Now I have so many! To commemorate the publishing of Volume II, I offered Volume I free on Smashwords for one week - just last week. I couldn't offer it free on Amazon because it's not exclusive to amazon. I also increased the ability to see a portion of both books from 30% to 40%. Still, people must have chosen to buy at amazon because actual sales on Smashwords were much fewer.

Most people are on amazon and seem happy enough not to make the jump to Smashwords as well. But Smashwords is doing well.

Now, Michael, I have always gotten requests for a paper book or a workbook of sorts. I don't see myself publishing two paper books for each separate volume. So I'll be combining these two, with many new articles. Then I will publishing that mega volume in ebook only in Amazon's KDP lending program and also in paper.

Socializing and getting people to trust you and like your product, giveaways, sometimes teaching others, all of that and doing so much more brings sales. To be honest, I can't pin point just one thing that brings sales. It all seems to work together.

Gads! I think I've written too much again. I hope this helps. Talk back. What are you doing for your books? (I need to look at your page.)

Cheers!

Mary

Mary, any idea why your book volumes made the top 100 'again'? Did you do some promotion work or a giveaway to get the volumes back into the top 100?
