Our 63rd Wedding Anniversary (Monday)

On June 8th 1952 my dear wife Sylvia and I were married in Birmingham, Alabama while attending the University of Alabama. Interestingly we were told that because we were only 18 years of age that the marriage wouldn't work. Apparently they were wrong. Yes, we were both headstrong, at times angry but dedication to family (and friends for that matter) was always of primary performance to us. We learned to compromise, respect each other and to try to end arguments with a laugh. Coupled with the fact that both of our parents taught us dignity, grace and honesty. We and our fine family thank the Lord for the bounty that he has given to us.
