Many on this site already know the pitfalls of using a vanity press. They will charge you from $900-$15,000 to get a book up on Amazon. They do no real editing and certainly no marketing. For the most part they are not interested in your royalties because they don't think you will make any. They get their cash flow from the fees they charge you. Don't be fooled if they send you a contract for they are no more binding than their alleged services are. Always type the name of the outfit in a good search engine with the word "complaints" next to it.

Sadly, we still have gate keepers which are the agents (not unlike the Matrix" as well as the publishers themselves which decide if your books will ever hit the brick& mortar stores.

Writing is a joy-editing is hard work-getting published near impossible and marketing is not for the faint at heart!-It can be done however.

On Amazon alone there are over 8 million titles. It is an ocean. In order for your work to sell you must find a way to stick your little hand above the waves of the others. There are some tricks to get that done. There are many ways to achieve this.All of them require you to be persistent.

         Now I would like to offer any author on here the chance to get a review on his/her book by me. I will either take a free copy of your work or actually buy a copy then post a review on the site which they have it listed. The upside for me is that you will do the same for my works,because even though I have sold a nice amount of each of my books getting reviews don't seem to be easy to come by.
