A wild ride! Jennifer Chase has written a deliciously twisted tale that will keep you turning page after page. From a title than draws you in from the get go to a plot line that rivets, Compulsion was simultaneously entertaining and insightful. Chase has a knack for placing the reader inside the tormented mind of the serial killer, you really get a sense for how these creeps think and what drives their blood lust. The dialogue, the setting and the romantic subplots all artfully converge to provide a rich backdrop for a blistering story that, at times, will leave your heart pounding. I am looking forward to the next segment of the trilogy!

A Good Read! This was my first time reading any of Jennifer Chase's material and I am pleasantly surprised. I have never been much of a "murder-mystery" type and was really stepping out on a limb in getting this book. This book has good transitions, almost like a movie or TV show, each chapter begins with a new "scene" that she does a good job of describing. This book does a good job of not getting too deep into back stories about characters, but giving you the info that you need to know. Overall, I would recommend this book to someone a good read if you want something simple, descriptive and with overall good writing -Leon Staples

A Nail Biting Thriller Every author wants to hear those five little words - "I couldn't put it down!". I'm guessing that Jennifer Chase has heard those words many times. Compulsion has it all. Mystery, serial killers, romance, suspense, and characters we can relate to and care about. It is an intelligent thriller that I'm betting you'll also have a hard time putting down. My advice - pick it up and fasten your seat belt! -Alan Gettis
