Is the title of my new documentary.
It's a 47 minute film telling of my return to the site of my first battle experience during my three years in the Pacific during WWII. I went there to get an "Action Program for Tarawa." My objectives: one, to repatriate the remains of the 200+ Americans who still lie where they fell during the battle of "Bloody Tarawa." two, to remove the live ammunition that lies everywhere in this tiny, densely populated island; three, to clean up the garbage on Red Beach, hallowed ground, where thousands of Americans were killed or wounded by Japanese gunfire during those three days of savagery, a battle in which more than 6,000 were killed--Japanese and Americans.
The documentary was narrated by movie great Ed Harris and edited by Emmy-award winner Jay Miracle.
JUST IN-- Discovery Channel will soon make an offer to show the film.
