His New Novel  “Opening Moves”:

In The Bowers Files novels, FBI Special Agent Patrick Bowers has stopped some of the most vicious serial killers ever imagined. Now, in the fifth exciting installment, author Steven James takes readers back to Bowers’s terrifying beginning.

Milwaukee, 1995. In a city still reeling from the crimes of Jeffrey Dahmer, a woman’s body is found with the lungs removed. Local cops think a Dahmer copycat is on the loose.

But Patrick Bowers, working as a homicide detective for the Milwaukee Police Department, sees from the timing and location of the crime that this is not a copycat at all, but a killer with an entirely different agenda.

As he pursues the madman using his unique skills and ice-cold logic, Bowers finds himself thinking more and more like his demented prey. The problem is that the more he understands the killer’s mind, the more his own thoughts are being warped. And if he’s not careful he may not be able to recover his mind—or survive the case.

Donald Edwards Peters:

A little about me. I've had what you could call an eclectic work career. I've been a pizza-parlor busboy, bowling alley attendent, journalist, medical equipment salesman, Army officer and owner/breeder/insurer of race horses.

It's been an interesting life.

I grew up in a small California town that turned into a large one I hardly recognize, and frequently get lost in when I visit. I'm a proud graduate of the University of Oregon (I really enjoyed my third sophomore year) with a degree that makes me really good on Jeopardy but is pretty much totally worthless in any other setting.

I write because I can't fathom a life without doing do.

Today, I live in Southern Maryland with my wife. Between us we have four great children, two Scottish Terrors and a cat that probably has an armed robbery in his future. Makes for one hell of a Christmas card.

Anyway, hope you enjoy what you find here.

Cheers,

DEP

Donald Edward Peters has a new novel coming out soon, “The Pride of Lyons” :

Quince is a part-time bouncer, part-time private investigator who’s saddled with an unfortunate, famous first name.  When his friend and attorney, Jim Curtain, offers him a job, Quince takes the case with no thought of the consequences.

Quince’s client is Peter Lyons, a well-respected businessman, philanthropist and former governor.  But Lyons has a dark secret. He is gay, and someone has obtained pictures of him with a male prostitute at a resort in Jamaica. Gearing for another run for office, Lyons is terrified the information will get out.

Following the blackmailer’s trail takes Quince to an exotic resort in Jamaica, the rarified air of the Kentucky horse racing scene and all the way to Southern California.  Along the way, he finds there is more to the story then just simple blackmail, and he is forced to take drastic measures to stay alive and protect those he loves.

With an unforgettable protagonist and cast of supporting characters, The Pride of Lyons will keep you glued to the pages until the amazing and unexpected finale.
