That First Post Is The Hardest...

While writing usually comes easily for me, I have to admit, this initial post to my blog has taken a painfully long time.  Just as one obsesses over finding the first car and buying the first house, I have obsessed (far too long) over just what to include in this first post.  Ultimately, I decided to go with my strength, telling stories.

I have come to this point with a huge amount of help from my incredibly talented son Adam, a free-lance web designer in Des Moines.  With his able assistance, I am learning the art of blogging.  In the months to come, I intend to share information about my first novel, Completely Restored, as well as the sequel, Car Crazy.  I will also post shorter examples of my writing along the way.  My intent is to use this blog as a place where my readers can help themselves to samples of my writing or purchase copies of the novels including the ebook versions once they become available (but more about that later).

In addition, I will offer glimpses of the “back stories” behind Completely Restored and Car Crazy.  Information about the life and work of the Rev. Billy Sunday, the magician T. Nelson Downs and events such as the Green Mountain Train Wreck, the first Winter Dance Party and the tragedy surrounding Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper and Richie Valens among others.

At the time of this launch, I have already included over 20 reader reviews of Completely Restored and will continue to do so.  I invite anyone to share feedback with me about any of my writing; such feedback from readers is extremely valuable to any writer and I am no exception.  In short, I view this blog as my electronic writers garret and guests are always welcome!
