To those who can articulate and care to pontificate

To those who can articulate and care to pontificate:

I am putting a book together - working title “Meet the God of America” – that I want to put out in the fall of this year (2009).

This is not a book of strict research and clinical data. It is a book of the American citizen’s own reality. In other words, how do individuals in America see, view, regard, and relate to God.

I am seeking contributing authors. There will be no fiscal compensation; however, you will receive credit for you work.

Here is what I am looking for:

1. 500 - 2500 words (loose requirement)
2. A picture to be published on the opening page of your piece in the book.
3. A brief bio of you
4. A signed release, which I will provide you once, you decide to take this on.

You are free to deliver on any subject you choose, as long as it ties in with your belief or disbelief on the nature and existence of God. Following are sample points:

• Love
• World health
• Why bad things happen
• Sex and sexuality
• Money
• Universality
• End of days
• Creation / evolution (or some combination)
• Obedience / disobedience to “your” God and it consequence or lack thereof
• God in government or institutions
• God in society
• God in church (or lack thereof)
• Abortion
• Marriage
• Etc.

There is a wide range of attribute that fit into your personal belief in God, a god, gods, or universal power. Any mixture of them is welcome and invited. No belief will be excluded bases solely on the belief. A well-written piece is what I am looking for.

I am not looking for a thesis or a sermon. I am specifically looking for and accepting documents defining your belief. You do not need to show why or provide any evidence as to why you believe what you do; simply layout your personal belief.

I need your interest before April 30th. I will need your piece by May 31, 2009.
