For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Weds. A Paranormal/Fantasy panel discussion on The G-ZONE at 11.30am EST

Today on The G-ZONE I will have five guests; they are bloggers, authors and ezine publishers. Here is the lineup: S.L. Schmitz, Michelle Olson, Amber Scott, Tanya Contois, and Liz Pelletier.

Below I have their bio’s so you can understand a little bit about each one so you can mark it down on your scorecard.

Amber Scott:

“In between naptimes and dishes, Amber Scott escapes into the addictive twists and turns her characters lives take. She often burns dinner, is hooked on chocolate and still believes in happily every after. She co-founded the Indie Book Collective and speaks regularly at conferences nationwide and at home in sunny Arizona.”

Michelle L. Olson

Creator and Administrator of LITERAL ADDICTION.

“LITERAL ADDICTION Paranormal Book Club started in February of 2010 as a pie in the sky idea of a book club between my best friend and I.  2 weeks later it had a website, a Goodreads and Facebook Group, business cards and more.

At 11 members, I decided that our Book Club needed some excitement and started trying to get the authors of the books that we were reading to do Interviews.  We had Adrian Phoenix, and then booked Laura Wright.  After meeting another individual starting a book blog (Book Monster Reviews) in Laura’s author chat, we teamed up for a big True Blood Season 4 premier contest and without us even really discussing it further; we sort of just started doing everything together from that point on.  We’re currently at 227 private members, 901 followers/fans, have done over 78 author appearances since the 2nd week in June, have approximately 75 more scheduled through the end of the year, and are recognized by name and logo all over.  It’s been a lot of hard work and has had some crazy moments, but my little dream of LITERAL ADDICTION has been truly amazing.”

S.L. Schmitz:

“I am S.L. Schmitz. I live in North Carolina in the United States with my husband, son, and  four cats.

“Let It Bleed” is my first novel. She also written the “Mina’s Daughter…The Harker Chronicles” with Trestle Press.

It is very strange to write about myself. I was a teenager in Chicago during the 1980's, and am heavily influenced by the punk, gothic and industrial music scene from that time period. My musical influences include Patti Smith, Nick Cave, Tom Waits, the Cure, Bauhaus, Skinny Puppy, Rites of Spring, and the Swans.

I can still rock that Siouxsie Sioux black eye make up, if the right event came around!

I respect and admire so many different authors, so I couldn't possibly just list a bunch of names. I think that would be insincere. Instead, let me just say that I can never get tired of reading Patti Smith or Ray Bradbury. I adore John Shirley, both the man and the myth.  More recently, I have become deeply enamoured with the Mythpunk genre, particularly the writings of Theodora Goss and Amal El-Mohtar.

Last year, I couldn't decide if I was insulted or not when someone told me that I was an 'enigma'. I may look quiet and unassuming, but I have the heart and soul of an Aquarian Rebel. You know what they say - never judge a book by its cover.

Unless it is my book.

In that case, I hope you are able to see the images in each word which I have carefully chosen, and that the  unraveling embroidery of my story speaks volumes to you.

Don't ever forget how to fly-“

Tanya Contois:

“Tanya Contois has resided in Massachusetts her whole life. The soon to be released “Wicked Little Lies” by Trestle Press will be her first published story and she is currently working on part two of The Cambion Chronicles as well as another story. If you want to know more about Tanya Contois you can visit her on Facebook http://www.facebook.com/tanyacontois or Twitter http://www.twitter.com/tanyalc28.
