What do Didi Damin and Borrock Sobama have in common?

It's political satire at its best when Didi Damin meets Borrock Sobama. And what do these two people have in common, apart from their African ancestors? Not much, I'm afraid, but where and how did they meet? This is what you'll find out in "The Adventures of George".

"The Adventures of George" is a fast-moving, entertaining and satirical tale, which chronicles George's involvement with international leaders and terrorist groups, and his meeting with assorted colorful and unusual characters, people such as The Bearded One, The Mere Leader, David Chipperfield, Stavros Onassos, Sir Solomon Pushdee, and many more.

And George - who is this George? Well, you'll have to read the story to find out, but George is a common name and it might be just about anybody. And the predicaments George gets himself into, menaced by foxhounds, threatened by the anti-pork league, abducted by his enemies, and having his furniture stolen from under him, are truly amazing. And then there is the episode where he saves the life of Vincent Giganti - this is exciting stuff!

Here is George meeting Kennedy -

“At a nearby table was a man of about fifty
Who had been drinking a lot and was rather tipsy,
And after eyeing George’s group for quite some time
Plucked up his courage and did thus opine,
“Honoured Sirs, allow me to give you my name,
Kennedy it is, and I’m proud of the same.
I’m of Irish descent, as you can well see,
So the drinking of Guinness comes naturally to me”.”

George sees Giganti for the first time -

"There weren’t many people in the bar,
But standing at the counter, not very far
From Kennedy’s table there was a man,
A cigar in his mouth, whisky in his hand,
Of powerful build and broad of shoulder,
Black hair slicked back and saturnine features,
Expensively dressed from head to toe,
That all who met him might very well know
That here was a man of power and influence,
His manner radiating a certain arrogance."

Dr. Lee visits the club -

"In the club Dr. Lee was impressed to see
Powerful leaders sitting talking amicably,
While at home their peoples were locked in disputes,
And determined to fight, to kill and to loot,
And to main and to rape without a second thought,
As their leaders exchanged pleasantries in the heart of New York.
“Well, George, it’s an interesting place to be sure,
I wish I’d been able to come here before." "

So what happens when Damin and Sobama get together? The answer is that they set up DAPE, the Damin African Promotion Exchange. And what does DAPE do? You'll find out in "The Adventures of George"
