"Writing is my ‘being’ — I write and write and write. My first novel, Countenance,was published in the Spring of 2013. It felt SO good to have that beautiful book in my hands! As a photographer who always has a camera, I am able to bring photos of settings and places that bring further inspiration to my writing and teaching. Dogs are another love — 3 REAL fur-buddies, Murphy, Sophie and Maddy Lou help me get the words in the right order. The characters in Countenance find their lives enriched by a special dog. I live and work in the heart of Alabama, surrounded by rich, productive farmland and southern hospitality.
