Hey Danny. How are you enjoying Lord Prestimion? I though Silverberg did an awesome job of world building in that one. Many times I found myself wanting to travel to Majipoor on holiday.
Hope you can leave a comment on this week's book review.

Thank you, Danny.

Yes, your comments are very helpful. That is exactly the kind of feedback I am looking for.

I have had about a dozen test readers so far. I usually have to prod them to get the kind of feedback you intuitively have provided.

Thank you for addressing the issue of introducing too many characters too quickly. That was always my biggest concern. I do have an epic tale to tell, but I do not want the reader to get lost in the process.

Nick and Drake are the main protagonists and the ones the reader will primarily be following. However, Nakira, is another major character in this first installment ( if I end up turning this into a series). I am glad that she is your favorite so far. She is my favorite, as well.

Most of my test readers tell me that they like Nick and Drake the most. Others favor Sparx. Only a very few like the depth and conflict that comprise Nakira's character. You are not very far along yet, so I do not want to spoil things for you.

Okay, don't want to use up any more space here. In the future, if you prefer, we can use the message board so our discussions don't show up on your page that everyone sees.

Thanks again Danny and if you would like me to go back through Swords of Gehenna and give your kind of more specific critiquing, just let me know.

Danny,

I posted a review of Swords of Gehenna on Authonomy today. I was trying to put you on my bookshelf, but could not figure that part out. Also, is there a way to find your page on that site? And can I add a star to what I already placed?

I didn't realize they have 6 stars possible. I was trying to give your book 4 out of 5.

I went to the link on your Page. The story is fascinating. I'm not usually a fan of science fiction or westerns but it really is quite good! Great work!

I don't have a lot of traffic on my website yet, but I wondered if I could add your link to my website? When I get more traffic it could be helpful to both of us.

Good luck! I know how tough finishing an ending can be! I will be happy to give you some feedback on your work.  I'm pretty busy today but perhaps I will have some time this evening. :) I will let you get back to work now have a great day!

Hello Danny,

Welcome to the Book Marketing Network. I've heard you have an interesting story. I look forward to reading it as soon as I finish with my latest story.  I'm impressed that you've written a novella. I haven't yet developed the patience or a story line that goes as far as writing something longer than about 30 pages.

Danny,

I just posted my review of Swords of Gehenna on my blog. I am trying to get other people on this site to read your story. I put up that same link on my blog that you posted in the comment section on my page. You might want to put that same link up on your own page so anyone who visits you will be able to follow it to Authonomy and read your book.

Best wishes,

4-LAN

Sounds good, Danny. You can view my incomplete novel on my page here on The Book Marketing Network. It is in the content section and shows up as Blood and Fire, though the complete title is Blood and Fire: The Vampire/ Dragon Wars.

And yes, there are zombies in it...

If you have not already done so, you might want to join the fantasy, horror and science fiction writers group. There is a link from my page or you can find it under the heading 'groups'.

Be seeing you at the water cooler,

4-LAN
