Thank you John for creating such a wonderful platform for writers. I look forward to participating in the online discussions and in joining some groups of interest. Thanks also for the friend invite.

This is a great way to accentuate your book sales with a new product.
It also allows you to test new content to see how people react and find the best way to present ideas for your next book!
Thanks for the kind welcome. I've received your info in the last year and find most of your advice helpful to non-fiction books. Hopefully, I'll find something for historical fiction folks like myself.
halo john, the biggest issue writers in nigeria are contending with is marketing of their books. i hope this site can offer some concrete avenues for us. kudos for opening a site like this.

Hi, John - I have a "My Page" on Book Marketing, under my pen name, Jane Bullard. I am using my real name more on the Internet and reserving my pen name only for my book. Could you advise me how to change my "My Page" to "Jean Purcell" rather than "Jane Bullard"? Thanks.!
Thanks very much. I am implementing various of your suggestions from the book review you provided a couple of months ago. As a result the publishing process is taking a little longer but I believe will better serve the readers in the long run.
Hi John,
I have just subscribed to your newsletter and have plans to order your book. I have found this site informative and encouraging. This whole writing, publishing and marketing thing has become a full time job. I feel as if I have been sucked into a black hole! LOL When I read all the information about publishing, authors, book reviews, blog sites and "the chosen few" that literary agents and major publishing houses take a risk with it tends to become a source of negative reinenforcement. Your sites have taken much anxiety out of this process. Thank You
This is a great group of people and great info -- I joined way back when you started, but I have to admit, I've been away too long. It'll take some exploring! Have a great week!
PS - It has been an interesting year for us. Not much of a decline in the people coming in with their books (luckily). I also have seen a lot of people that have been ditched by their publisher, but want to release it themselves -- It's pretty interesting that the publishers have gotten half way or more with these people and are willing to hand over the ms and rights back to the author. I'm encouraged that these people aren't just hanging up their spurs and giving up.
In other news...I just became a channel partner with ISBN.org and can offer single ISBN's with the publisher's name and ownership... I can do them by phone right now with 24 hour service and a barcode, but I'm setting up a special website to handle it. I just thought I would let you know!

Is there as sub-group on this sight for authors of historical fiction? I've written two and working on the third of this trilogy.
