GENTLE RAINS

A TIME TO HEAL WITH GENTLE RAINS
THEIR SOUND IS SOFT AND SWEET
THEY HEAL A DEAD AND LONELY HEART
OR THOSE WHO FACE DEFEAT
THE SOFT CARESS OF RAIN DROPS
THE DEEPENED THUNDERS ROAR
I'LL LISTEN TO MY GENTLE RAINS
TILL I FEEL PAIN NO MORE

Hi Jess. Your dating book sounds like a winner for the Cochella Valley (Palm Springs area) of California. We have a lot of widows and single women here. Last week one of our 55+ friends called a younger woman who had been in the dating game and asked her what the rules where now. She was told: "Do not wear anything with snaps or velcro and wear panty hose--they're harder to get off." I think your book would have helped her more. Now she's married and seems very happy. Good work. Alaska Jim on temporary assignment in the desert.

Hi Jess,

Hi Kim,

I think you may be interested in FL Writers Assn.
It's a wonderful group for learning, networking, and submitting work to the quarterly magazine. It's actually not only for Florida any more. We have national and even a few international members!

If you'd like to check it out, please come to http://www.floridawriters.net.

I also run the FL Authors online group at bookmarket. You can join it, regardless of your FWA affiliation.

Have a good week,
Shara

Hi Judi,

I used a book shepherd to help me with my book. I don't know what I would have done without her. I couldn't believe I found someone who could take my first draft and make it into a book. I think you have a fabulous job. I can imagine the excitement you feel every time you help someone realize a dream. I will be on the road for a few days (leaving 80 degrees in Florida to see my Mom in Delaware, where it is 40 degrees. I must be crazy!) but I will check back in next week and find out more about your website and this great site.

Yes, Jess, girlfriends suffer for their girlfriends because they can see the signs more quickly than the friend involved -- I got married late (38) but thank God, because I always chose the wrong man and for the wrong reasons -- Many of my friends are in their 50s and either in extremely controlling relationships or single and lonely -- I will recommend you! I would love to be added to your reference section -- I work with authors through each phase from the beginning to after pub promotion: editing, proofing, book design, typesetting, branding, author sites, pre-pub marketing materials, media kits, promotion, etc... it's sort of like watching a baby grow and spread it's wings and I love it! my website is listed on this site on my homepage --

Hi Judy,

David's book is great. We have a lot of the same ideas on dating. Please send your girlfriends my way. I would love to help as many single women as I can. I just decided that my next marketing strategy for the dating coaching was going to be toward the friends of the singles who get their hearts broken a lot, because the friends suffer right along with them. If the friend hires me for their girlfriend as a gift, everyone wins!

Please tell me more about what you do to help authors. I have just started another website www.HowToWriteYourFirstBook.com (still tweaking some things...should be ready by Thursday) and would love to put you in the reference section.

Hi Jess, yes, I do know David -- actually I was his book designer on his conscious dating book and will be for the series he is intending on doing -- I am not an author(thank God) but work with self publishing authors from concept to promotion -- again, Jess, I look forward in learning more about you and have a number of girlfriends who I'm thinking of directing your way...

Hi Judy,

I am new at this and have not figured the whole thing out yet. My friend, Christina Rowe, told me about this network. I think it is a fabulous idea.

David Steele is the founder of Relationship Coaching Institute, but I do not know him personally. Do you know David? His partner, Jeff Herring, is the host of a relationship radio show in Atlanta on which I was a guest two weeks ago. I have that interview posted on my podcast at www.heartbreakfreedating.podomatic.com.

Can't wait to find out more about you. What is your book and how long have you been writing?

Hi Jess -- I echo the importance of your topic and I look forward in checking out your website -- curious: relationship coaching institute, any connection with David Steele? I wish you the very best.
