Thanks for the invite from a fellow Austinite. Regarding the book marketing ... are you self-publishing? If so, good luck with that! I tried that route before hooking up with an e-book publisher last year which generated enough sales that my book was published in January as a paperback and is now really marketing itself through use of the internet. (Google "The Brat Chronicles" to see the links). The internet has been very, very good to me. It also helps to be shameless in your self-promotion, and it helps to find books or web pages on the same
subject matter as your book. Buying books on how to market or how to find an agent is a waste of time and money. I know, I tried that for almost 5 years. There are many "vanity publishers" out there who will be happy to stroke your ego and put your book into print for a fee. Rule of thumb ... money should flow to you, not away from you.
