Blue has retired from in front of the camera but seems to be making just as big a splash behind the lens.
In 2005 Blue took time off to finish his just released (by Running Press, Sept. 2008) autobiography “OUT OF THE BLUE: Confessions of an Unlikely Porn Star”, and he returned to filmmaking with the sequel to the hit movie MUSCLEMEN MOVING COMPANY, INC., --MUSCLEMEN MOVING COMPANY, INC. II, which starred legendary bodybuilder Ty Fox, who bottomed for the first time on film. The film was an enormous hit and garnered a Grabby nomination in 2007. As well, at the 2007 GAYVN AWARDS, Blue received a Maleflixxx Viewers Choice Award for having one of the top ten selling films of the year on video-on-demand for MUSCLEMEN MOVING COMPANY, INC. I. 2007 also saw the release of the critically acclaimed THE MUSCLE PIT, which critics heralded as “the best film Blue Blake ever made!”
