Interesting People We Are

I have had some interesting communications on Meeting the God of America. Some, judging by only the name, have accused me of "pushing" God down their throats. This made me laugh because obviously they have not even taken a moment to view the website. Not at all what it is about. I have had a few nasty emails! More evidence to one of the points of the project - We Judge with a lack of knowledge and anger arises.

We will all band together as brothers and sisters to hold to that Promise.

Comment by Cherie LaLanne on May 8, 2009 at 11:24am: This is the reality of where our society is at, isn't it. My struggle lies with how far I allow the bashing and personal attacks to continue. Just the mention of 'God' triggers unbearable memories, which can unleash rage. It is difficult to discern, at times, how to respond. Love is the key. I've found, even with extending love, it seems helpful (therapeutic) for the wounded to use me to release their rage. If we turn away from the abuse and persecution, shutting the person down in a sense, then accusations of wearing blinders are cast. Chris, I am praying for you as you press further into this project.
