The Origin of Pen_duelr
As I thought about a fitting pen name, I happened across a web site
http://web.org.uk/picasso/hanged_man.html and read an interesting story:
According to Nordic mythology when Odin chief of their gods decided to invade another land, he first decided to hang upside down from a tree limb.
Why would he do this, you ask?
Although it may seem like a strange act to do, he did this to get a different perspective on his circumstances in order to devise a plan of action...
Although I am simplifying things, this is the background story of the origin of the iconic image that is familiar to many people - 'Le Pendu' or The Hanged Man.
The image of the inverted man in suspended self-sacrifice was myself at a major crossroads of life. Consequently, because of this life - changing experience I have come to view life from a new perspective. This altered viewpoint even carries over into my writing and is the reason I chose Pen_duelr as my pen name.
