For book/ebook authors, publishers, & self-publishers

Hi Everyone,
Boy did I have an unusual day. First of all, at the last minute I was asked to be a guest author at the Border Queen Book Festival held today in Comanche, OK. I didn't have time to get any copies of my first book, "Faith, Hope... and the greatest of these is LOVE"; and my second one isn't due to be released until April 20th. So, all I had was one book (for display only), 10 book markers, and my business cards. I offered to take orders, but nobody wanted to. I had a framed copy of a 1st draft book cover for my second book. Not my most successful author event, but I did talk to a lot of authors and people, and they took all of my book markers, and most of my business cards....so who knows.

There was a new author, a Christian Poet, at the table next to me. This was his first book, It has only been out since January. He resisted the urge to publish for two years and finally gave in. He is not sure he wants to publish anything else. His name is Keith Albin from Ringling, OK. His book is called Awaken the Watchmen". The cover is Phenominal! He published through Xlibris. We talked mostly to each other, we were on the far wall and most of the people stayed to the center isle. I didn't mind considering I had nothing to offer, but I felt bad for him. He let me read some of his book during the day. He asked if I would sell my one copy, I told him to get with me at the end and I'd be glad to. Well, the day drew on, and we kept talking. When I got ready to leave, he asked me if I still had my book, and I said yes. He said, "How about we just trade?". I asked him if he was sure, my book is way thinner and cost less. He said yes, so we both signed our books and exchanged them. Now, I have a new writer friend in Christ. His book is great by the way. Check it out for yourselves at www.awakenthewatchman.com.
